Co-Founder & Creative Director
Warrior
An introduction to the studio/company's co-founder and creative director, Warrior.
How We Met
Warrior and I have been long time friends for about a year now. We've shared a liking to computer science, how machines work, and technology overall. I've come to gain a liking for Warrior due to the fact that we clicked so well from the moment we met. Our origins aren't some excentric, winding, and twisting story. In fact, it's quite simple. About a year ago from writing this biography now, we met during a Roblox showcase of my technology that I worked on for about 2-3 years prior. It was a robot that emulated sentient emotion and explored the reality of how AIs would behave if given a soul. Warrior was intrigued by the showcase, and after some talking, we became inseparable.
Warrior's Role in Hollowside
Given the fact that Warrior co-created the entire operation with me, she has played a huge role in how things move forward, function now, and how things will eventually operate in the future. Her love for machinery (and Hollowside) has time and time again given her motivation to learn programming herself. Some of the languages she's learnt (and are continuing to learn) consist of:
- C++
- Fortran
- Lua
- C
- Assembly (x86)
and more. Warrior inspires me every day with her willfulness to get up and keep pushing towards goals. Whether it be for the studio, herself, or for others around her. I find myself constantly pushing for the company so we both have something to brag about in our futures.
Where Would Warrior be in the Future?
If Warrior decides to stick with Hollowside, from now until it (hopefully) gets mainstream, she'd still be the creative director (and probably programmer in some branches) of the studio. Warrior would probably co-direct games, fund the engine with C++ code, give tips on what to add in the engine/games, and more. And so far, she's exhibited no intentions of leaving any time soon.
I thank Warrior for being a part of this journey with me, and I thank her for doing what she does now to create something that can inspire others, fuel creativity, and become a safe haven for those that have nowhere else to go.
